Infrastructure Team Lead (Web & Mobile)
Department: Information Management

Report to : Infrastructure Engineering Manager

To manage overall software infrastructure and environment needed to meet application development and operational requirements of complex and cross-departmental / cross domains projects / programmes. To develop performance and competency of team through expert coaching and mentoring of technical team members



  • Allocate resources and responsibilities within own area to deliver required results around cost, quality and time
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives within own area in line with High Performing Team
  • Ensure Infrastructure team fully understand, follow and champion technology standards and patterns as defined within Information Management; champion use of such standards, procedures and best practices within team
  • Monitor and ensure compliance to corporate control standards for enterprise quality
  • Provide technical leadership and escalation support for resolution of incidents and problems within staging and test environments
  • Obtain requirements signoff from both business and Information Management (IM) Stakeholders
  • To provide technical advice to Information Management (IM) colleagues on the use of the IT Infrastructure and integration of various business applications onto the enterprise infrastructure
  • Work closely with IMT service product Manager and IT strategy teams to ensure the IT infrastructure asset is delivered aligning with the strategic roadmap
  • Keep abreast of the corporate strategy, business plan and latest industrial trends and technologies to allow these to be leveraged to the business benefit of the company
  • Collaborate with other IM domains to drive business and technology innovation
  • Provide technical leadership and escalation support for resolution of incidents and problems within staging and test environments
  • Provide expert level support in area of technical specialization, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution of challenges
  • Available to provide 24/7 support as required



  • Technical degree holder with minimum of 10 years IT experience, at least 5 years of IT Infrastructure experience and 3 years of team lead responsibility
  • Ability to allocate and supervise delivery of work within a small team (5 to 10) of technical resources
  • Proven experience of leading team, and be able to demonstrate effective coaching and mentoring style
  • Proven technical management and specialist experience of working in a complex IT infrastructure environment
  • Solid experience of developing solutions and making decisions for team with only minimal management guidance and supervision
  • Track record of building and maintaining relationships at a senior level and have an ability to influence at all levels
  • Ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally, and in the written form, to a broad range of audiences; ability to ask probing questions and deliver presentations
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills; ability to identify patterns and generate informed ideas
  • Focus on end user’s or customer’s needs; ability to set expectations and understand end user behaviour
  • Ability and willingness to proactively accept and drive change to accomplish positive collective outcomes
  • Ability to understand strategy and align tactical and strategic work in a well-balanced way to achieve results
