Job Description

Our client is a leading multi-national insurance Company with offices all over the world. They are currently going through significant expansion in Hong Kong and wider Asia and require a number of Business Analysts at different levels of seniority to work on supporting launching a wide variety of insurance products, whilst implementing changes to the existing product suite.
The role will require engineering new business processes and re-engineering existing business processes, to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.  You will also be required to conduct business process mapping for all business units in Hong Kong, including Life Administration, General Insurance, Partnership Distribution, Agency Administration, and assess areas that require process re-engineering to align operations with business objectives.
Responsibilities of the role

  • Process mapping the work flow for new products being launched
  • Engineering new business processes and re-engineering existing business processes,
  • Validating and Verifying Requirements - Ensuring the requirements map to the real business need
  • Performs impact analysis of business transformation initiatives
  • Performs quality review checks on project deliverables
  • Supports users in building Business Case, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope, and development
  • Embedding himself/herself into the project delivery organization on functional and local/regional levels
  • Translating operational designed solutions into clear and actionable action plans for project manager and the business supported

Requirements of the Role

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Operational & Business experience within the insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of the insurance market place, including industry practices & regulations
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and focus group, developing business requirements and instructional and procedural documentation and presentations
  • Good project management knowledge with strong skills in Process Mapping and Business Process Reengineering and business solution design skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyze business processes and workflows
  • Pragmatic problem solvers with business transformation skills
  • Strong planning skills coupled with a high capacity to learn and the ability to think laterally and strategically
  • Strong business / client engagement skills
  • Ability to simplify and move forward individual pieces of a complex environment
  • Ability to quick grasp, understand and drive business strategy
